11月10日はめし椀の日 です。これは日本漆器協同組合連合会が本年制定しました。めし椀は一般的にはお茶椀と呼ばれ、今は陶器のものを使っている方が多いかもしれません。でも実は”木製のお椀”こそ、ご飯を入れることに向いているんです。
あつあつのご飯を入れても熱が伝わりにくく、陶器よりも軽いため、お子さんや年配の方も持ちやすい。
長く使い続けることで変化する風合いを楽しむこともできます。
やわらかく手に馴染むお椀です。

この飯椀は木製の素地にウレタン塗装で仕上げたものです。

November 10 is Meshi Bowl Day. It was established this year by the Japan Lacquer Ware Cooperative Union. Rice bowls are generally called "tea bowls," and many people may be using ceramic bowls nowadays.
But in fact, wooden bowls are the best suited for serving rice.
They do not conduct heat as easily when filled with hot rice, and are lighter than ceramic bowls, making them easier for children and the elderly to hold.
The bowls also have a texture that will change over time as they are used.
The bowls are soft and comfortable in the hand.

These rice bowls are made of bare wood and finished with urethane coating.
